This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from gftd.ca.


PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT
When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information.”

We collect Device Information using the following technologies:

SMS ABANDONED CART DISCLOSURE

“The GFTD website uses cookies to help keep track of items you put into your shopping cart, including when you have abandoned your cart, this information is used to determine when to send cart reminder messages via SMS.”

Additionally when you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (we do NOT retain credit card numbers), email address, and phone number. We refer to this information as “Order Information.”

When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information and Order Information.

HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?
We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, we use this Order Information to:  Communicate with you;  Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud; and when in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.

We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).

SHARING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
We DO NOT share your Personal Information with third parties.

Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

Finally, we may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.

DO NOT TRACK
Please note that we do not alter our Site’s data collection and use practices when we see a Do Not Track signal from your browser.

YOUR RIGHTS
If you are a European resident, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us through the contact information below.

Additionally, if you are a European resident we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example if you make an order through the Site).

DATA RETENTION
When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.

CHANGES
We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.

SMS PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you opt-in to SMS Marketing from GFTD.

  • By opting in to receive text messages from GFTD, you agree to receive SMS notifications, alerts, abandoned and promotional messages from us.
  • We will only send SMS messages to Canadian phone numbers that have opted-in to receive our notifications.
  • You may opt out of receiving SMS messages from GFTD at any time by replying “STOP” to any of our messages.
  • Standard message and data rates may apply for SMS messages sent to or received from GFTD.
  • We may use your location data to provide location-based services like delivery tracking and personalized recommendations. We will not use this information for any other purpose without your consent.
  • Without your consent, we will never share your phone number or personal information with any third-party vendors or affiliates.
  • GFTD is not responsible for delays or undelivered messages due to technical issues or service interruptions from your mobile carrier.

Square respects your privacy and works hard to protect your personal information. We want you to understand how we may collect, store, use and protect your personal information. We will not share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy. When you downloaded our software in order to use our services you agreed to accept this policy. We may change this policy at any time. We will post notifications of revised versions of our policy on our website, and revised policies will be immediately effective. Throughout this Privacy Policy, we will refer to our website, software and services collectively as the “Service”. Please note, this Privacy Policy does not apply to information we collect by other means than your use of the Service (including offline) or from other sources.

For that reason, Square does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 13 or knowingly allow such persons to register with our Service. Additionally, you must be over 18 in order to create an account with Square. 

Changes to Our Privacy Policy

If we change our privacy policies and procedures, we will post those changes on our website to keep you aware of what information we collect, how we use it and under what circumstances we may disclose it. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.

Security at Square

To protect Square account holders and their customers, all information our customers submit is encrypted to our servers, regardless of whether you’re using a public or private Wi-Fi connection or a data service on your phone (such as 3G, 4G or EDGE). Square complies with all required PCI standards. As per our Seller Agreement, Security Policy and Privacy Policy, we will never sell information to third-party vendors.

Square protects its systems with industry-leading technology and security controls, including:

  • Square performs data encryption within the card reader at the moment of swipe.
  • Square’s software is developed using industry-standard security best practices.
  • Square’s servers are monitored around the clock by dedicated security staff.
  • Square’s employees act in accordance with security policies designed to keep your data safe.

Since Square itself is PCI compliant, we don’t require account holders to validate PCI compliance. Merchants who use Square for all storage, processing, and transmission of payment card data do not need to validate PCI compliance for those transactions. 

We strive to provide a safe environment for both buyers and sellers. Please review our Seller Agreement for items and services prohibited by Square.
